Three Awami League lawmakers-elect in the by-polls took oath as members of the 11th parliament on Saturday afternoon.
The three MPs – Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin from Dhaka-10, Advocate Umme Kulsum Smriti from Gaibandha-3 and Advocate Amirul Alam Milon from Bagerhat-4 parliamentary constituencies – took the oath at 3:30pm.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the swearing-in at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, while Parliament Secretariat’s Senior Secretary Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan conducted the oath-taking ceremony.
